About
Suzanne Vick has been singing since childhood. Her first performances were with her father who played guitar while she sang hits like "Puff the Magic Dragon" and "Charlie of the MTA" at family parties.
Suzanne was classically trained in her teens and studied jazz improv at Berklee College of Music in Boston. Her most profound musical education, however, has been performing a huge variety of musical styles, including funk, rock, alternative folk and big band, for the past 20+ years. Suzanne lovingly refers to those experiences as being "schooled on stage."
Suzanne has recorded and performed with many of the region's top bands and artists, including The Jay Willie Blues Band, Seth Adam, Mia Fanali, Gerald Goode, The Light Hearts, Electric Mayhem, Big Yellow Taxi, Pop City, and most recently, The Glenn Hansen Orchestra.
Suzanne is a versatile songwriter and her 7 original releases to date highlight both her emotive & vocal range and her deeply soulful style. Her debut album, The Brightness of Orchids (2009), helped establish Suzanne locally and regionally as a songwriter and won her the title of “Best Singer/Songwriter” in the New Haven Advocate’s 2010 & 2011 Grand Band Slams (reader’s poll).
Her current original project, DEMKOVIC is a blend of rock, opera, and Christian music all whirled in together to create a unique musical experience for their audience. DEMKOVIC's brand new single "Immortal Sin" is making waves internationally - especially in Australia!
Suzanne's music has been featured on local, regional and internet radio shows such as WPLR, WMNR, Radio 104.1, RuKus Radio, Butterflies Radio, Jango.com and the Women of Substance Radio Show. You can find her on most major music retail sites including iTunes, Amazon and CDBaby.com.
